Thanks to all of you who are making BWI possible. I have talked with three people who want to get more involved with BWI this week. Can we plan a meeting around April 19th-20th to start talking about our ideas for BWI together inworld?

I'm running on European time, so it would be handy to know which timeframe you had in mind.

If you'd like to set up some time to meet inworld I can meet you anytime after 9AM in the morning inworld (I'm in California, not sure how that corresponds where you are but PST = Linden Time). Monday or Wednesday works this week. (note PST = pacific standard time)

I'll be at a friends place on wednesday but should have internet access up there. Give me a time and i'll try to make it.

That way we all get to know whats going on, and people will have clarity.

Sue knows more on this, as do our Green Lantern friends I think. I have a jetpack infostation that can be used for some of those purposes, but I haven't had time to learn how to script something more extensive for us to use as a collaborative workspace. Meanwhile there are the groups and I'm sure In Kenzo or any of the Better World Scouts can hook you up with the appropriate discussion groups. IMs are also saved and sent via email if someone chooses to receive them remotely.

Thanks Evonne for the tour. Got started playing around with a board in the art center.(What a beautifull space). I've been looking for an art studio for a while and i guess it will have to be a virtual one for the moment.
Building in SL seems straightforward enough. However, i'd like is to import objects from another 3D program i just started to know. I'm not entirely sure if thats possible. Anyhow, i'll make some extra pieces for us to start experimenting .Hope to meet you up there. I'll put the kettle on.

You should be able to create something very similar with just a few prims (looks like six prims per piece if you want something identical to these designs, otherwise you could do it in four with a horus replacing the middle three rings). Look for Riversong Garden on the island in a few weeks; she's great with translucent textures too. We're sitting down with HeartMath soon to integrate their work into ManorMeta. Camp Darfur continues to receive visitors and press and more of the island seems to be coming to life. It's great to see spring on Better World Island!

Glad you're finding your way through Machinima. Look up BuhBuhCuh Fairchild; he teaches classes and has scripted cameras that help with video production inworld. I was not able to make every class but he has some notes posted at his Alt-Zoom Studios website. I agree that a tour of BWI video would be very useful, along with episodic stuff and music videos like we're taking on. There's many ways to go through it! We're also taking our second life photo galleries and remixing them for comics. Shutterbugs are welcome to submit their best images from Camp Darfur and BWI to evoamo aT gmail d. com Glad to see new projects coming together!

Still getting used to various editing software for video and presentation, but it's all enjoyable getting to know you's. We're also taking our second life photo galleries and remixing them for comics Been working on a similar stuff. It's only by having come to SL that i've seen a great potential for storytelling. Ps. Got a half decent outfit for my Chaplin Character (Charlie Roundfield) but still looking for Mohandas Goodman's outfit (Based on Gandhi)(got the glasses but am looking for lunghi's, etc... Anybody could help on that?

I spoke with BuhBuhCuh and he's willing to do a private seminar for a small group of filmmakers sometime in the next month. He has some of the streaming lessons online and others are waiting to go online soon.

If you want to leave notes at a specific location while not inworld, check some of the note scripts/machines around SL (Hiro Pendragon has come up/features a few good examples on his properties). Hope that helps? Brent

Right now we cannot host his multimedia until she returns (two weeks from now, likely). I would guess a month would be likelier. I can tutor you in turning off UI (the text) and using the waypoints if that's helpful.

I also would like to get the interface (im,chat,inventory,etc..) turned of but am not sure if that's possible. I'd love it if you could help me out on the waypoints.

Don't know what to tell you. Do you have the Debug menu operational on your top menu bar? There's an activation process for that and you'll have more control over your SL experience at that point. It may be that UI/off is a function associated with Debug.

They usually happen 7-9PM, but maybe message him and let him know you're interested in attending from Europe and he'll work on the timing?
